On the Sunday, January the 14th, two ESA aviators from ESOC could use the limited time with daylight for an flight to Freiburg im Breisgau. Departing with a DYNAMIC WT9 at 14:20 local from Worms, with mixed sky conditions, the journey was following the Rhein valley with views to Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden. After 70 minutes the airfield in Freiburg i.B. was reached. The flight back brought more clear cloud conditions with impressing views to the western border of the Schwarzwald region, completely covered in clouds.
